SO with sushi bars being as popular as they are these days, one might think ot discount one with a generic "Japanese" name like Wasabi.  I met a few friends for lunch there, a few downtown natives, and the service could not have been better. They immediately asked about my friends' children and took the time to connect, or in this case reconnect, with thier patrons. We ordered right away, and had our rolls and gyoza within about 10-15 minutes. The drinks were refilled without having to ask and the atmosphere was cool, urban, but slightly traditional. I think i caught a little coldplay and daft punk in the background. The food comes on those fun wooden boats and you have the standard American options of chopsticks or silverware. The food was delicious, much better than your typical inland sushi, and the presentation is simple, but elegant. (Yes, sushi can be elegant) At lunch, the crowd seemed a bit loud, but most great restaurants are. Parking can be tricky dowtown, but theres a public lot off Lucas behind Rosalita's.

+ great food, quick, friendly service, cool urban vibe
a bit crowded, but for good reason, parking is tough.

A big thumbs up! Check it out!
